Sailing Away

Friday July 5th
The big pack up today after nearly 2 weeks of spreading stuff around at Ted's. We had repacked and weighed the bags again last night. Katheen and Greg had offered to accompany us into town to help with the bags on the train. We managed to get all the bags into the Tedmobile although it was a tight fit. Ted has a 93 Plymouth that he has had from new and it is mint condition. It certainly stands out on the road with its iridescent turquoise paint job.

The Sky train takes you right to Canada Place and we were able to drop off our bags to the cruise terminal as soon as we arrived leaving us 3 hours free to further explore Vancouver.
M 108 We took a walk around Coal Harbour and in the Marina spied these lovely house boats amongst the super yachts.

We went for a walk around the waterfront (Coal Harbour) to Stanley Park and walked through part of this 1000 acres green space right in the centre of town.

Panoramic view back towards the city from Stanley Park.

After a quick bite and coffee in Starbucks for a last check of the mail we said goodbye to Kath and Greg and headed for the Celebrity Millenium.

Here we are before going on board the Celebrity Millennium

Once on board we spent our time exploring the ship. It is amazing. Staff everywhere are waiting to greet you and provide help. Dinner was elegant and after that we went to the welcome show in the theatre. This was a preview of what is to come and it looks pretty good.
