Wakehurst

Monday August 5th

Lucky me. I got to have a day out with Lucy and  Adam at Wakehurst near Haywards Heath.  Wakehurst is the country estate of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.  There are ponds, lakes and woodlands to explore.
Several children tried to solve the finger maze in a giant Oak tree stimp.
These were the tunnels and tents which Lucy and Adam had fun running through.

There were some very big creatures in the pond.
Lucy and Adam loved showing me all their favourite places.

Wakehurst features natural woodland and lakes and formal gardens.

There was huge areas of planting throughout the park.

Clever works of art have been created in another part of the park.
